The Reed & Barton Sea Shells flatware is an excellent buy - I bought eight place settings for my wife for Christmas, and she absolutely loved them. The sea shell pattern is enjoyable, just enough whimsy to make them interesting, while still remaining classy. The quality was excellent - not a mark or a blemish on any of the pieces. The 18/10 vs. 18/8 argument is not a big deal... I did a lot of research before buying, and the consensus I found among flatware experts was the benefit of 18/10 over 18/8 is negligible... the thing to avoid is anything rated 18/0.
When I bought the settings, it was through an "Amazon Associated Merchant" - and the price, as another reviewer mentioned, was an unbelievable $14.94 per place setting. I'm not seeing that listing come up anymore, but the merchant was called Repetoire. Their communication and customer service was phenomenal, and the shipping was quick. It'd be worth your time to seek them out - if you can find them on Amazon, they'd be the way to go!

Reed & Barton Sea Shells 18/10 Stainless Steel 5-Piece Flatware Place Set includes place knife, place fork, place spoon, salad fork, and teaspoon. Elegantly gift boxed.A pleasure to behold as well as use, this unusual and aptly-named flatware pattern from Reed & Barton features a different sculpted shell design at the end of each handle. The dinner knife and soup spoon curl into a nautilus spiral, the dinner fork fans out into a scallop shell, the salad fork bursts with a round sand dollar, and the teaspoon ends in a pointy-tipped conch. Designed with oversized spoon bowls and gracefully long tines, the business ends themselves are quite dramatic, presenting a well-balanced whole for casual dining.
